Dorset to benefit from Growing Tourism Locally campaign0
The Visit Dorset tourism partnership is working with VisitEngland, the national tourist board, to promote Dorset and encourage more people to holiday at home and discover the best that England has to offer.
The £41.9 million, three-year project called ‘Growing Tourism Locally’, is funded by the Government’s Regional Growth Fund, with contributions from VisitEngland and destination partners from around the country.
The Visit Dorset partnership, which includes district and borough councils from West Dorset, Christchurch, Purbeck, East Dorset and Weymouth and Portland, is taking part in three exciting campaigns: Coastal Escapes, Rural Escapes, and the English Seaside.
The campaigns aim to inspire UK residents to experience England’s world-famous coastline, inspiring landscapes, historic market towns, picturesque villages and fantastic seaside destinations.
