Crime Prevention event at Christchurch Quay on 6 June0
Agencies are getting together at Christchurch Quay on Thursday 6 June for a community safety and crime prevention event.
The event will run from 9.30am to 12.30pm and will include presentations and demonstrations from Dorset Fire & Rescue, Dorset Police, Christchurch Borough Council, Dorset Trading Standards, Home Watch, IMPACT – Multi-Agency Youth Outreach (MAYO), Dorset County Council’s Early Intervention Service, the Urban Heaths Partnership and Sovereign Twynham Housing Association.
The Fire & Rescue Service will be giving two demonstrations on a ‘crashed’ vehicle to show how they rescue people from vehicles at the scene of an accident. These will take place at 10.30am and 11.30am.
Trading Standards are bringing their 50/50 car – a vehicle that is half road worthy and half not – to offer advice and tips on buying a safe car.
