Christchurch Three Towns Travel cycle project

Dorset County Council are increasing the pavement to 2.5m between the A35 bridge and Redvers Road, on the eastern side of Burton Road as part of the Three Towns Travel off-road cycle route.

There will also be improved crossing points on Everest Road, Redvers Road and on Burton Road, one south of Redvers Road and one south of Bingham Road.

The two junction schemes being implemented in Christchurch, as part of the Three Towns Travel project, will signalise the Stour Road junction with Bargates to improve traffic flow and signalise the Stoney Lane railway bridge with one-way signals, which will regulate which direction of traffic has priority, and widen the pavement under the bridge to make it safer for pedestrians and cyclists.
