Christchurch Heatherlands Health Walk

The Christchurch and East Dorset Partnership’s Activate1000 Team has teamed up with local charity group, the Bus Stop Club to offer a new free health walk for parents in the Heatherlands area in Ferndown.

The walks are designed to give parents with young children an opportunity to get into a weekly routine of exercise while meeting other parents in the local area.

The one-hour long walks are led by volunteers from the Bus Stop Club and are held on Friday mornings during school term time.

Parents are welcome to bring their buggies along with them.

The walks are open to everyone, not just parents. Anyone wanting to take part is asked to meet at Turbary Resource Centre on Corbin Avenue at 10.15am for a 10.30am start. Please contact Susan Sutherland on 07866 692528.

For more information about East Dorset health walks visit or call the Activate1000 team at Moors Valley Country Park on 01425 470721.
