Christchurch antiques shop Aladdin’s Cave owner Mark Galpin has banned tourists and anyone living further than a 30-mile radius of the store.
Mr Galpin, whose shop is opposite a coach stop in Christchurch, says visitors “just pile in” to kill time. He said profits had increased since he introduced the ban.
The shop, sells large items of furniture which Mr Galpin claims tourists are unable to take on their coaches.
Mr Galpin has revised his policy by allowing tourists as long as they make a charity donation of one pound to enter, which is then taken off any purchases in store.
