Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Mark NHS Change Day0
Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust are to mark NHS Change Day on March 13.
The idea of NHS Change Day is for everyone working in the NHS to make a pledge of one single act they will complete. As well as encouraging staff to make their pledges, RBCH would like the public to give their feedback on our hospitals on the day.
An open event will be held in the main atrium of the Royal Bournemouth Hospital from 11.30am–3pm. Visitors will be able to post their suggestions on a wall, speak to volunteers about their experiences and meet some of the Trust’s governors.
The event will also be an opportunity to learn more about the Friends and Family Test – a national initiative being implemented from 1 April whereby inpatients and those coming through the Emergency Department will be asked whether they would recommend the hospital to their friends and family.
The organisers of NHS Change Day hope to get 65,000 pledges from staff, 65 being the number of years the NHS has been in existence. They have already well exceeded their target and pledges made so far include always using a patient’s name when talking about them as a constant reminder of individuality, and paediatricians pledging to taste the medicines they prescribe to children.
